Hi guys,
What's the current state of OBD2 tuning, logging & flashing software.
I've only tunes LT1's upto now.

I've been asked if I can tune a C5 Auto Corvette, not sure what year yet. I think it will be LS1 0411 ??

I've just started to read up but want to cut out 4 years of info... What would I need to tune one of these.

Thanks
Mitch

if you can find an XDF (there is an XDF for that one, I've seen it, looks pretty good) tunerpro can tune the bin, that's pretty much what you're used to. the free XDFs if you do find one for your application might not be as complete as the expensive commercial tools.

if you're using a PC, PCMHAMMER is probably the most popular free tool right now, it seems functional. hardware can be tough (some interfaces are so slow they take the better part of an hour to reflash). this is supposed to be the latest and greatest thing everyone has been waiting for, i hope to try one soon. https://obdxpro.com/

Other option you can consider is gm clone mdi, Avt-852 and obd link device. A little more expensive but with the mdi you have a dealer level support with the ability for custom flashing.

For android device you can use LSdroid for flashing with an obdlink device or the bluetooth version of xpro will work fine.

The more important questions is what year the vette is. There are 4 different types of pcms used and the 97-98 have almost zero support.

All other will work fine for custom tuning.

Logging is another issue that will get you a bit of trouble. ALl obd2 logging programs sucks and are too slow unless they use the enhanced factory data logging.

I hope we will get something much better working with some of the tools listed.

Thanks,

It's a 2001 A4 LS1. From what I can gather( Some conflicting overlapping info on dates) it should be a P01 9354896 512Kb.

P01 2001-2002 C5 | 1999-2001 Camaro/Firebird/Corvette LS1 - 9354896, 512Kb
P59 2003-2004 C5 | 2002-2003 Camaro/Firebird/Corvette LS1 -12200411, 512Kb

thanks
Mitch

`01 is definitely 0411 so you are good to go. A Lot of options for tuning are available.
