Hi folks and thanks for letting me join you. This looks like a good board, Mark Mansur recommend I come here and that you guys are the experts to help me out.
I am not new to tuning but I am no expert, at a minimum I can say my feet have been wet but most of the knowledge has been drained over the years. I am in the process of tuning my 1994 K1500 $0D, 16197427 BJLF system with a 383 stroker, 9:2 compression, dart iron eagle heads, and a mild RV cam. I am using Tunerpro V5. I need some help with the tunerpro ads files and some tuning tips.

Like I said I have had some tuning experience and believe I know the basics, or I would like to think so. :rolleye:

Could someone please point me to which forum would be best for a post to get some help?

Cherrio!

Hello,

A TBI 383 is likely to require a fair amount of tuning. The volumetric efficiency of the engine should be much greater than stock and with the heads you've installed I would guess that by the time you have it running as you like you will remember much more than you knew to begin with. ;)

I believe the GM EFI forums are the best place to post questions. You should be able to provide information about your cam, injector, and manifold choices along with vehicle information. Folks will make suggestions to change calibration areas like injector size, cylinder volume, acceleration enrichment, and volumetric efficiency among many others. Have you opened an xdf and calibration in Tunerpro to view stock values yet?

Hi, and thanks for your reply. Yes I agree the last 383 I tuned did take quite a bit of work. I have done all the adjustments necessary to injector flow, fuel pressure and so forth. I have the original chip BIN file but I started with the one I had from the last 383 I tuned up. All my injector sizes, cylinder volume and so forth are in line to start a tune from what I can tell. I need to be sure I have the latest tunerpro 5 files as I was tuning last with version 2 or 3.

I will check out the forum you suggest, thank you!
