I'm probably overlooking something but I've downloaded TunerPro RT, got a new ALDL cable, read the new users stuff multiple times but can't find my bin files to use. It's on my ECM which is behind the glove box door, I'm hoping that's correct. Here's a pic of that tag. Top line has Service No. 16171199 BFCF, next line has a long number *86BFCKD31900760*, next line has a 16190425 a space then BFCF. I've searched and searched but can't find a match to that. Am I looking at the wrong sets of numbers? I'm not the greatest on computers but I'm determined to figure this TBI and data logging stuff out. (well I did try to attach a picture)

Hi Dave,

The letters on the ecm represent the file that the ecm was originally shipped with. GM often supplied replacement calibrations so it's usually better if you open the cover and see what's on the chip inside the computer.

BFCF is listed as a 1993 calibration for a five speed, manual transmission truck with 16171199 ecm. I only appear to show one calibration for that ecm, which is very unusual. Do you have access to an eprom programmer? You could read your file directly with that tool. Another option may be to switch to another ecm.

Just out of curiousity, what files are you using with Tunerpro?
