Looking for chip burned delete egr 1988 k1500

Good Afternoon all,

I am looking to get a chip burned for my 1988 gmc k1500 auto w/ 350.
Does anyone currently offer this service?

It is stock.
I ordered a egr block plate and need to tune out the egr setting.
I also ordered a smog delete pulley to get ride of that. I will plug up the holes in manifolds.

I was getting 11mpg, so after my tune up I hope to be a bit better.
I did platinum ac delco plugs, wires, new map, iac, coolant sensor and bunch other maintenance.

If you post the chip information or broadcast code (BCC) http://www.gearhead-efi.com/BCCFind/ there is a good chance myself or another gearhead-efi member can help you. To disable a functions like the EGR and Smog Pump, the chip is programmed so the EGR and / or Smog Pump will be enabled "ON" at vehicle speeds greater than 255 MPH or enabled "ON" when the engine temperature is greater than 305 degrees Fahrenheit. Sometimes a "Hack" is required for the chip programming to disable the EGR because the chip programming does not allow speeds of 255 MPH or temperatures of 305 Fahrenheit.

I found 0055 on the type of chip pictured to the right in the link provided.
Is that enough characters? I took picture of cover and board. I can recheck in the am if needed.

Unfortunately, the BCC will be aliphatic not numeric. Usually the aliphatic BCC is something like AUMR, ARJT, or AMUL.

As Dave w mentioned 4 letter code on the ecm Iirc it also will be on silver tape affixed to the prom provided everything is stock and unmolested.

I found it, unfortunately had to clip the plastic bar blocking it. It is AMUR.

Do you know of anyone who burns these chips? In my research I found some older sites and a couple people did not respond, could be holiday related though.

I looked into burning my own, but I am not planning on modding anytime soon. The last owner unplugged the emissions but did not tune out. I have a egr block off coming and smog delete pulley. Trying to get truck running smoother.
