Greetings Gearheads,

I needed to replace the injectors on my '88 R30 350 TBI. I wound up getting a complete rebuild kit and cleaned her up pretty good. The IAC was really gunked up, so I replaced that as well.

She fires up right away, at first she was idling pretty high. once warmed up she would start to stumble and fall flat on her face.

I was able to pull a data log and we're pulling code 33 and 42 and I'm not sure if it's pulling these codes as the cause of the issue or a byproduct of the issue.

I was hoping I can get some help, I've just spent six hours under the hood chasing ghosts and I'm sure the issue is right in front of me, but these eyes are tired.
I'm attaching the data log.

Thanks in advance!!

what brand of injectors did you go with. You're better off getting a used set professionally cleaned and flowed. Has fuel pressure been verified?

My apologies for not following up with this thread.

Found the issue. Somehow while working on the TBI the vacuum nipple on the EGR Solenoid to the EGR valve broke clean off. After replacing the overpriced Solenoid, the codes disappeared, but the motor would still stumble and shut down. Ran multiple tests to eventually find that the wire harness ground was loose :mad1: which shut the ICM down resulting in no negative signal to the injectors. this explained why it would shut down at random. Cleaned up the ground area and tighten her up... she runs like a champ now.
