Hello fellow enthusiasts.
My name is BULL and I am located in Friendly, Alberta Canada.
I have an 88 Fiero with a 97 3.4 DOHC and OBDII PCM.
I am hoping to tune the PCM for NA, so I can learn more and be prepared for when I add the Turbo system this Winter.

I am open to suggestions and help in anyway giving me direction to learn like all of you have.

I am not new to the automotive world at all. I am a Veteran of the Army who has skills in Electronics. I have been working on cars/trucks my whole life, and I recently obtained my first year Automotive Tech Apprenticeship. I like to say that I am a 1st Year Apprentice with 30 yrs EXP. I like specializing in automotive electrical and electronics.

In advance, thanks for the help you may provide in my new journey of discovery.

What is the part number for the OBDII PCM you are using?

dave, I have 2 PCMs. One is from a 97 Monte Carlo Z34-#16227797, the other is from a 96 Grand Prix GTP-#16211539.
Both cars came with the 3.4L DOHC.

Currently my 88 Fiero GT is using the 16227797 PCM with the 3.4L DOHC installed and running decent.

Hmmm, I'm wondering what Data Logging software is available for tuning the 16227797 PCM?

JET DST has it on its list of applicable vehicles.

Reading and writing to a PCM is a good thing. Being able to record and playback data log information like, but not limited not to, Spark Advance, Injector Pulse Width, MAP Voltages, Coolant Temperatures, Closed Loop / Open Loop, RPM is not only a better thing, IT'S THE BEST THING!!

Seemingly the aftermarket is not supporting data logging the 16227797??

I imagine that's a difficult PCM to find stuff for. 1 year only for only the Cutlass Supreme and Monte Carlo Z34 if I remember my W-bodies.
