Found my problem?

I put an EBL in my 48 Willys wagon with a vortec 5.7 and a TBI. I spoke with you several time , trying to figure out why it was using so much gas. I finally decided to change the rear end ratio to a 3.50. When I got the old one out I found out it was a 2.79, that with the 2004R gave me a fianl ratio of 1.87.

Good possibility that was the issue. The engine would always have been under heavy load.
