yeah, those are all TBI... unfortunately, the MPFI/SFI injectors weren't color coded for easy identification...

all of the Delphi, and the 8 digit Rochester injectors should be GM injectors.... not sure of their applications though.

EDIT: well, the 12586554 is the 00-05 3100/3400 injector.

200cc/min at 3 BAR, yet they're run normally at 3.5 BAR

Ive been looking for the flow rates for the TBI-700. These TBIs were used on the 2.0 and 2.2 GMs. Im running dual TBI-700s on a Chev Corvair controlled by a 6395 ECM, but guessed at the flow.

Thanks

What about the injectors found in the 2.5L Iron Duke TBIs (single barrel)? I can't seem to find their specs anywhere. I'm using one to inject an Opel 1.9L.

You need to add one to your chart....Its a marine application high pressure version of the 61 lb/hr injectors. Used on 400+ HP marine big blocks.

Just had some 5.0L/305 injectors PN# GM5235279*RPD cleaned and flow tested @22psi which yielded 72lbs/hr or 760cc/min.

Hello everybody!
I just got myself an injector Delphi FJ10041-11B1. But when I opened the box, I saw that the number on injector itself is "5817", and number on injector on my car is "5227". Could someone tell me the difference and provide flow rate for "5817" injector? Flow rate for "5227" is 50 lb/hr at 12 PSI.

Milos

Do you have a part number for those injectors? I'm assuming that they're not '206s.

I am guessing they are this part number?

25170301

Although they could just be normal 350 truck injectors. I ran a pair at up to 50 psi for thousands of miles. That was 20 psi base fuel pressure and a 4:1 rising rate regulator getting 7.5 psi of boost from under the Weiand 142. In about 1 year, I killed 3 well built 700r4s in about 20K with that setup.

It looks like that's the correct number. I found a set on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Crusader-Mercruiser-TBI-Fuel-Injector-25170301-Throttle-Body-Injector-5-7L-/301647034737

That's something I hadn't heard of before, thanks! I wonder why they went with the higher pressure and how much they flow?

They run at higher pressure because they sit in a 454 TBI unit and feed 280-320 HP engines. Even the Marine 4.3s had a big block TBI on them making 210 hp.

I found info on these as I found these in my 1991 GMC Jimmy 5.7. The RIN-1001s are BWD Part number 57202P found here:

http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/BWD0/57202P/02521.oap?year=1991&make=GMC&model=Jimmy&vi=1156553&ck=Search_02521_1156553_-1&pt=02521&ppt=C0024

I can only assume since they are factory replacements for the "5235206 - Orange / Black - 61pph - 5.7L / 350 Cars/Trucks" they would flow about the same.

I did have one question for the group, why did they use the 170301 injector in the 94-95 454 for street application, and why did they use the same injector in the marine 5.7? Anyone know why they used larger injectors in the marine TBI?

Are there any benefits to using the higher pressure TBI injectors? Any internal design differences that allowed the injectors to handle the higher pressure?

Six_Shooter

The later 454 uses higher pressure (around 30 PSIG) than the early 454 (around 12 PSIG), so it may actually be that they are using the smaller injector in the 454, rather than the other way around. From a quick search those are about 45 PPH at 12 PSIG, which would make them flow quite a bit more at higher pressure.

The marine setups support and feed alot more powerful engines than the road going setups.

One marine 350 I know of had L98/ZZ4 heads on it and was rated 315 HP with TBI feeding it. There was also a supercharged 502 that was around 600 HP and was dual TBI.

This forum has the correct flow for the 5235206 injector, 61 pph. When doing the math for Base Pulse Width (BPW), it's very clear that 61 pph is the correct flow for injector 5235206.

I have a 4.3 TBI unit that has 2 different injectors in it. I have searched for a few hours and can't find any flow data for them. Do any of you fine fellows have any data for these please and thanks? I know 4.3L should use 45pph injectors but they used slightly different left/right to compensate for manifold dis-symmetry or some such reason.

Maybe this injector supplier will help with flow rates?

There is the option to have Mr. Injector service the injectors ($18.00 each): https://www.mrinjectorparts.com/

Perhaps Mr. Injector will share the flow rates?

i recall they are different flow rates, what they are I couldn't tell you. i would try to find another one with the same p/n. 5235203 is same as 5235134 FWIW.

I might have some 4.3l injectors if you're interested. I know for sure I have a set or two of 305 injectors as well. I recommend getting them tested and cleaned, there's a place in port kells that does them.

Here's some info from diy-efi.org:

Mis-Matched TBI injectors
The Throttle Body Injection (TBI) assembly installed on the 1987 4.3L light duty truck engine uses injectors with DIFFERENT flow rates in each throttle bore for improved emission control. The TBI units involved are model numbers 17087090 and 17087162. If the injectors are removed for any reason, care must be taken to make sure they are installed in their proper location.

Thanks guys, appreciate the info.

Tayto, if you are referencing Port Kells you must be in the lower mainland, thanks for the offer. If I can't find anything local, I will contact you.

I found out tonight that my fuel pump is only developing 10 PSI, so I need to get a new one for continued testing and tuning. I cranked up the reg spring but the pressure stayed at 10..ha.

Dave I will check out the links, thanks for that. If I learn anything, I will post it here for others.

Cheers!

Be sure to get a piece of EFI high pressure hose rated for inmersion and replace the factory fuel pump pulsator with it.

I heard back from Bill at Mr. Injector and he says the injectors are 45pph, he didn't have any data to say that they were different from each other, must be pretty small difference, my local parts house also crosses both numbers to the same aftermarket injector, or other Delco numbers but again, same cross for each number.

Going to try to modify the regulator to get 18 psi, and if I can, the 2.8L injectors should work.

Thanks again.
