Hello,
New to this forum environment but have done quite a bit of home brew tuning with GM 1227747 and 1227730 ecms. Are there any $E6 binaries around so I can start playing with a new ecm?

I'd mess with the $0D binaries. The $0D will run in the 16168625 PCM, has more work put into it and thus more tune ability. There are also more stock $0D binaries for download on this website compared to $E6.

Thanks c5wagner I'll dig into the $0D binaries. I have an ecm with the V6 calpak so i have to find a V8 one to install a flash chip on. I will let you know how things progress. Again thanks for the info!

I have an extra v8 memcal with a winbond flash chip (EEPROM) installed, if your burner supports the winbond w27c512, I'll send it to you for $25.

I sort of remember a document floating around(years ago, probably close to 20 years) so you could modify the NETRES(Limp, resistor network), basically mimic what GM did with the 305/350/454, of the memcals. Does anyone have a copy or link to the information?

A number of people worked together here to get through some of the old info and some new info to come up with this:

This may be some of the original documentation you are remembering:

There's still the issue of the knock board between memcals, so far I've noticed that the all 5.7l TBI memcals have #26 in the little box, 5.0l TBI have #27, 4.3l TBI have #19 and I haven't dealt with 4.3l CPI or 454 memcals yet.

Interesting. The 5.0 identifier "27" hasn't been listed before.

There is a pile of good memcal information in that thread. Post 19 has a number of good files with it.
