Not sure if this is the right spot to post.

I am in the researching for the upcoming upgrade for the truck and eliminating the TBI system (7747) of my 1991 V1500 Suburban and I will be going with the Edelbrock SMPFI Pro-Flo 4 system. I have 3 circuits I need to keep from the existing harness.

1 The fuel pump - The fuel pump has that oil PSI safety built in so I need to keep it or eliminate it. If it's on its own circuit and not tied into the ECM that's fine.

2 The VSS for speedo - The DRAC for the VSS goes into the ECM. what purpose does this have in the ECM and can I simply just not care about that single wire going into the ECM once I pull the ECM?

3 TCC Lockup - The TCC lockup seems pretty straight forward in getting an aftermarket kit from B&M or monster transmissions etc.

I have Alldata for repairs and lookup but the wiring section of it fails pretty bad compared to Mitchell on demand.

You should be able to trigger the fuel pump relay with the new pcm. The oil pressure switch was a backup to the relay only, it would not shut down on loss of pressure unless the relay had failed.

I'll have to read up on the Edelbrock system see if they have a circuit for it.
