Knock issue code 43 got me trying to learn about TPI and how it is controlled. Have a box stock 1989 IROC convertible 5.0L LB9 automatic.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Code 43 can be caused by wrong voltage on knock sensor line. Check for correct sensor and for corrosion or loose terminals.
