Out on business trip I found this pickup out in the parking lot. Likely the oldest vehicle in the parking lot. Wish I could drive it home.

I really like the 67-72 truck family. Some day I hope to own a 3/4 ton 4x4 model.

Did you notice the license plate #?

It needs to be older

I like those trucks too. Got one sitting in my field. It's a buddies truck. Think he got anxious for a project and bit off more than he could chew.

In a sea of over-engineered plastic throw away jelly bean cars that the truck appears to be parked with in those pictures, I also would be compelled to look at it closer and possibly snap a picture or two. Simpler times? Better times?

I happen to own a 71 chevy 3/4 ton long bed 2 wheel drive with a ho72 4:56 gears with a 4l60e and matching 5.7 l31 vortec and it seems to go just about as far as 4 wheel trucks
and on the street it likes to leave the little rice burners wondering lot stangs under its belt too.

Cool.

The LS swap has replaced the smallblock as the defacto engine swap. Which is fine, except that anyone choosing to use the sbc seems to catch flak. There's plenty of power in an L31 based engine for mild projects and the engine is a stock replacement for older, smaller SBC's.

There's a 2wd '70 longbox for sale down the road but it's got plenty of New England rust-through as part of the price. I'll pass...

I own a few of these trucks, all GMC's though , a '70 , 2-'71's and a '72 , they are by far my favorite of the GM lineup .

IMHO , they should all have GMC front end styles though , love the 4 headlights .

That one looks to have a 67 hood on a 68-up front end .

Nice trucks

My neighbor up the street has a nice 67 C10 with a (carbureted) 6.0 5spd in it. I'm trying to get him to EFI it...and add a line lock as you'll see from the video. The "burnouts" are weak! But it does run good.
