Just became a registered user on this board. I want to say thanks for it, and for all the info I've read already. I have an 87 Corvette convertible and just love driving it. Having some trouble with the VATS, and I understand that's not unusual. So what I think I am gonna do is just burn the VATS out of the PROM, and be done with it. Any thoughts on anything else that should be removed while I'm at it? This car is just my toy, not racing it, but enjoy its performance.
Thanks!

Hello,

I haven't worked on a MAF TPI car for years. Folks used to request the cooling fan on / off temperatures be lowered and they usually responded favorably to altered TCC settings so TCC released with less change in throttle while on the highway.

Hi dick,
I have a 1988 c4 convert and love it too!
Anyway, I originally started the VATS mod by soldering a matching (to the key) resistor across the connector that runs to the key (leave the connector disconnected).
Later after thinking about it, I decided to just program out VATS and the associated code for VATS.
The later works fine.
I believe that you would probably use $32 def file.
If you have any ? email me.
regards, Mickey
