Yes, when you read the chip it goes to the buffer. Then you should do a confirm chip and buffer. Then save the contents of the buffer somewhere on your computer and give it a name. Then load that into tunerpro as a bin and read away.

Before touching the cold start parameters, how's your VE table BLMs? If that's all rich, then cold start routines will be "in addition" to your current VE tables.

I would think your next step would be a couple of good data logs and see if your ve tables need work. It would be good also to get your ignition timng, fuel pressure and any deletes you might be plannng ie egr, as all the changes could change the ve requirement. Once the ve is correct then start fine tuning things such as cold start.

My understanding is you're getting the AFR strictly off your wideband. Anyhoo...you need a laptop, ALDL cable and perhaps TunerPro RT since you already mentioned the appropriate XDF and ADX, with that you can obtain datalogs that will let you see where your BLMs are.

Side note: I don't know if I would use EWs chip as a starter bin if I didn't know exactly what he did to it.

Give this a read for the nitty gritty... http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Injection/showthread.php?1895-Adjusting-VE-Fueling-tables-with-BLM-data-Tutorial!

In a nut shell this is the only history table I pay attention to when dialing in the VE table...per link^^^you want to look at the BLMs over/under 128 and you'll be adjusting corresponding VE cell by BLM/128...

So what I’m looking at is a good ve table 5 above and 5 below the 128 number, correct. Now only way to get that is to log
Some drives and fill those blocks?
Can I log a cold start till it goes in closed loop and then drive it??

The useful info doesn't come till closed loop.

You want to view that table either in history average or running. Also look at counts. The cells with counts higher than 10 are the ones you’ll multiply x/128 in corresponding ve cell and smooth in to adjacent cells.

Well it seems that log is now gone. yea I did something wrong and just how do you know it’s logging?? So it don’t save it or save it in history.. It also never asked me if I wanted to save it. So what did I do wrong?
Top right corner of the dash??

Yeah...you press record and that slide bar to the right will start to move from left to right. Also down at the bottom of the screen of TPRT where it says "log playing", can't seem to remember what color it will be but it should indicate that you're logging data. NVM needs to be blue "DA Connected." Might as well add at some point you need to stop the recording and save it as a XDL file

Does it say DA Connected at bottom of TPRT? I dunno...disconnect, connect, disconnect, connect until dash starts showing useful data then try record again...gotta run and catch an airplane.

When you click "stop" recording, a window will appear for a "save as", if you don't name it and save it, it will go POOF and be gone.

To play it back, Click the Acquisition tab, then "Load Log File", then locate and select your "saved as' named log file.

You can then click play, pause, drag the time bar, or use the [ ] keys to go forward or reverse.

Apparently I miss-understood the above statement.
