Hello all I'm new here and to EFI tuning in general.
I'm using $85-16147060-V2.1.xdf and $85-16147060-V4.4.adx as these seem like the newest and best ones. I have tried some of the previous ones that are not as complete or as good for logging. I started the base tune with the AWBK.bin as that's the one that came with the truck. I have the G1 adapter (actually the jet version I found at the junkyard).
Using Tunerpro V5 I'm able to Datalog and burn chips and have made some progress but can't seem to get the emulation going. I suspected the jet G1 adapter but it works fine with a burned chip. I also pinned out the ribbon cable with an ohm meter to see if there was an issue there. Tested fine. I've read articles and instructions for a couple days now and can't seem to figure it out. TP5 seems fine. I load the xdf, apx, and bin no problem. Initialize works, upload bin works, verify says ok, emulate lights up and says emulating but it doesn't seem to make it to the ECM. Turn key and starts but it's clearly in limp with SES light on. Also, datalog doesn't work while emulating but could be because it's not really emulating. I think I'm missing something basic but I'm going to order a new G1 adapter just in case that's the issue. Wondering if anyone out there has had this problem?
