I have a throttle body system off a '95 and earlier GM (3 bolt mounted to intake manifold). On the front and top of the throttle body there's a notch in the body where to 4 wires for the injectors go through. There has got to be something like a grommet to seal that notch with the 4 wires in the center. Does anyone have any idea where to get that grommet of make one or ???? In the past I've used "Right Stuff" gasket maker to seal that notch but it makes a mess when I want to remove the throttle body leaving the 4 wires with the engine harness. Ideas????
I went the the local GM dealership without any luck (the parts guys didn't even have a picture of what I wanted). Napa had nothing more to add.

it's a real thing but i can't find the part number right now.

im pretty sure in gm parts guides its with the wiring harness instead of the throttle body (the thing isn't really supposed to come off of the harness)

painless wiring has one on their TBI harnesses when you buy one, so obviously they have them around, i bet if you call them they'd probably mail you one? (it's worked for me before, for odd things)

Thanks Steve I'll give Painless a call tomorrow. When I purchased this TBI setup many years ago from fly by night outfit that's now out of bussiness they didn't send anything. I used right stuff to plug the hole. Glad to hear there may be a better way to do it. Thanks again.

It might be easier to get this part from a junkyard as they are found on tbi vehicles from 1987-1995. The issue with that part is the injector wires run through them when they're made so the part by itself is usually not needed. I do see used injector pigtails on eBay that has that part on them for $15 shipped. You may get it cheaper posting a wanted add here or going to a junkyard.

I had the same problem and also tried the RTV method. Messy!
Gave up and used old fashioned friction tape.
Wrapped the wires with a little more than enough to fill the gap then unwrapped a little at a time.
Works great stays on the wires and fits right back in.

I called Painless (tech) and the guy who answered the phone acted like I was bothering him. "NO" they don't sell that part. I already gave up and used "Right Stuff" and made my own plug. It isn't as pretty but no air will get through.
