I am new to this site. In search of help, with tuning my 1992 GMC Sierra 1500 5.7. We just rebuilt the motor, changed it for a roller cam, using the 1996 Vortec heads studded with pro magnum rockers, Comp cams small camshaft kit, forged pistons, rebuilt transmission with bigger drums and better clutches and bands.

How owe can I tune this thing? Any help would be great. What do I need? I looked into Jets Performance Chips. But haven't purchased anything yet.

Thanks

You need to read http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Injection/showthread.php?466-TunerPro-starter-Tutorial!-New-users-this-is-a-must-read!-) Youtube has some tuner pro how to videos too. Because of the differences in years it will most likely not be a step by step guide, but you can get the idea pretty fast.

You can get the hardware/software you need from Moates.net and tunercat.com Don't bother with anything from Jet.

where are you located? There are some very knowledgeable members on here with the right equipment and know how. I would stay away from those places that offer pre made chips or mail order chips. Are you looking to tune yourself or pay someone?

Location, rocker ratio and cam specs will help a bunch.

I use information from TunerPro RT to tune a TBI engine, see attached screen shots.
