I am throwing around the idea of doing a budget build ( I know budget and turbo ) inline 6. I have only fooled with $OE and 6395/7427 and 4l80e. I have a few 80e's and harnesss for 94/95 trucks. So for the combo efi 6 and 80e, what do you think would be my options? My current set up suburban has both gm and megasquirt switchable for fuel side so could entertain dual ecm's.

I keep using $58 for boost. It can't control the 7747, though. It might be possible to use the MAF 727 application. I'm not sure if the MAF code eliminates the MAP completely or just removes it from fueling.

BTW, budget and boost play together nicely if you don't ask for too much. I've done a Toyota 22RET with 22RE head and Subaru turbo on budget along with a 2.2 Cavalier engine with no internal mods combined with a T25 and no intercooler. Loosened the rod bearings once because I was trying to be a smart a$$ but other than that, it lived for years.

The budget depends on which inline-6 you are building...we need to know what kind of crank triggers you have available to determine which ECU's could work for you.

IMO, since you want to run a turbo engine AND an electronic trans, I'd go full MS setup. MS2 or 3 for engine control and Microsquirt for the transmission control. Link the two modules via CANBUS and both will know what's going on with the other and be able to share sensors through CANBUS info.

Thanks for the info. After looking the options over I think I will stick to what I know. BBC 4l80e $OE
