Hello,
I found the site while Googling info on getting a PROM chip for my son's truck. We are building a 1983 Chevy 4x4 with TBI. It has a 350 with a 4 speed manual transmission. I have a 1228747 computer, but need an AKWH chip from what I have found. Can someone here help me with this?

Welcome to the forum.

It might be tough to find an original chip, but someone here may be able to make a copy for you. There are several others that could work as a starting point if necessary. Do you have a computer already? Does it have a chip installed?

Might hit some salvage yards in your area. Look for a similar year model donor truck 88-92 with a manual trans and 5.7. Snatch the whole ecm or just the prom chip from it. Check out this link http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Injection/showthread.php?521-1228747-ECM-Information-4F, it lists what should be "compatible" bins with you're ecm.
