I have converted a fwd 3400 to rwd and using an ecm from a 93 camaro. 16172693. Not really wanting to get into tuning but I would like be able to plug in and see whats going on. I have downloaded Tuner pro and looked it over, do I need a bin file, XDF and ADX just to see the encine parameters?

This tread would be helpful http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Injection/showthread.php?1928-16172693-16184164-16184737-16196397-PCM-Information-P66-V6

Thanks, I have those down loaded. Says the XDF covers all revision 3 bins but not 93 F bodys which is what I have. I am still in the early stages of this project, would I be better off using a different ECM?

running a manual or automatic? if manual, you should be able to use a 94-95 calibration without any changes that I know of.

if you have an automatic, you're looking at a very one-off situation.... the XDF that would be needed is specific only to the 93 3.4 calibration, which I didn't create due to every other 3.4/3100 application being covered by a single XDF.

I will be running a manual trans but I'm not sure what trans was in the donor car, I think it may have been an auto. Thanks for the response.

donor car won't really matter if you're going to run a manual. you SHOULD be able to upload a 94-95 manual calibration into the 93 PCM, but if not, you'll need to pick up any 94-95 3100/3.4RWD PCM and upload a manual calibration into it.

since it's sounding like you're doing a transplant, you'll need to disable or workaround VATS and other little things that likely aren't in your destination car.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. The way I understand VATS controls fuel pump operation, my car (79 MGB) has an electric fuel pump so I plan on using that circuit to control the new fuel pump.

Ok it's been awhile, not sure if I should have started a new post or continue this one. I was able to to down load an XDF , ADX and a bin that would work for me. back in Feb. or march I had the PCM programed to remove VATS (it controls more than the fuel pump) EGR and other uneeded items. I finally have everything installed and running, on three cylinders! The injectors for cylinders 3,4 and 5 are are not receiving a ground from the pcm. I have checked the wiring and see no problems. Not sure where to go from here, is there anything I should check before replacing the pcm.

check the connector at the back of the intake, it may be open circuit.

Thanks, circuit is good from pcm to injectors. I can ground each injector at the pcm plug and they all actuate.

Thanks, I have no idea what this says.

It seems the site has been hacked. It maybe that the responses have been translated into French phrases/language.
