Questions for Steveo or anyone else

Can I output the target afr value in the log?

As I'm trying OLSD tune at the moment I guess that is set in the OL afr table?
If my wideband afr is off compared to this value it's adjusted in the VE table?

Thanks
Mitch

yes, eehack supports afr target logging.

afr target is not in the factory datastream, so you have to flash your bin with the 'insert patches' button checked. more information on the patching in eehack can be gained by clicking the 'info' button next to the patch button in the flash window and hovering over the 'insert patches' button with your mouse.

after you connect to a patched ECM, the patch level will be detected and the afr target feature will be enabled. certain new interface elements will show up, it'll also appear in the parameter selector used for graphing, etc. the parameter lists will reflect the newly modified datastreams. this modified datastream will work properly in all the other logging tools too... we use bytes that they don't.

loading a log that has been recorded on a patched ECM will also enable those features (eehack stores the active patch version in its log files)

once enabled, the analyzer can generate a percentage of target vs wideband by checking the 'display percentage' box, so VE table modifications for an open loop tune will be fairly easy to visualize. this is designed specifically for the kind of tune you're doing and i've extensively tested it - highly recommended.

the only thing that i''d avoid is don't try to load a bunch of patched and unpatched logs together and analyze them in this mode. i never really tested that.

eehack also has a reduced size data packet to increase logging sample rate for such tuning, disable the stream for the 'main' packet and enable the 'speedlog' stream once you've patched. the extra data will help a lot for this kind of tuning.

OK that's cool, I've been using EEHack to flash since i bricked a PCM last week.
I've got patches selected.
I can see AFR in the graph view, however i can't seem to see it in the data stream output.

So i adjust the VE table to bring the AFR inline with target AFR.

I'll have another dick about tomorrow with it.

Many Thanks
Mitch

Time to play with it now i can drive it.

Thanks a Lot Steveo.

that was unintentional, should have been in "extended".
