HiLooking for some info on swapping 2732 with 29c256 in my 7747. I know moates selling adapters but I have capabilities to make pcb`s my self. pinout is not a problem as i have datasheets but would like to know if there should be some capacitors or resistors added in order to get it working properly as i can see on moates adaptor there is one resistor??Thanks for any info.#Kris

No resistors or other components actually needed.

I don't recall the reason for the resistor on Moates' adapter but it's not necessary. There's 5 pins that need to be shorted together, all at one end of the IC, 1, 2, 27,28 and it was either 3 or 26, I don't recall off hand. I've made a few adapters based on this from some of that prototyping board.

I think pin 1 on 29c256 is pulled Hi with resistor to vcc As to 5v. by the data sheet this one needs to be Hi as "write enable" but this I believe is only when you want to program chip within adapter.
