Ok everyone, I am sure this is a newbie kind of question but here goes.
I have a 94 Suburban 5.7 with a 4l60e transmission. I had the GM dealer run the vin and everything is matching up, however I have been
fighting the troublesome DTC 43. According to BWD, I am in auto parts, the correct knock sensor is an S8012 which has an ohm value of 99 to 100.
However, AllData states that I should have an ohm reading of 3.9 which is a BWD S8011 which according to them fits the 4l80e transmission application.
My pcm's number, which I am assuming is original, everything else was on the beast, is 16196395. When I spoke to GM, they said that this pcm was listed for my vehicle as well as Pcm 16197427. My question is this, which pcm do I use and which knock sensor do I pair with the pcm?
I verified voltage at 4.8 volts, I have ground, and my ECT is working correctly. I have access to both PCMs and knock sensors. I really like this beast I want to get it right again.
Thanks in advance,
John from Deep East Texas.

I've successfully used the BWD S8011 Knock Sensor for both the 16196395 and 16197427 when using the following Transmissions: 4L60E, 4L80E, TH400, TH700R4, TH350, SM465, NV3500, NV4500, and T-19 / T-18.

16197427 and 16196395 PCM's are interchangeable , Knock sensor must be matched to the PCM used . S8011 is the correct sensor for the 16197427 and 16196395.

S8012 is for the earlier 1227747 style ECM's.

Alldata sometimes mixes, matches, and summarizes info. Manual trans V8 trucks have a different pcm which would use the lower resistance knock sensor.

I am not sure what the deal was, but I put in the S8011, which is the 3.9k sensor and changed from the ecu #16196395 over to the ecm# 16197427 and the code is gone, the light is out and it is running good. All the catalog listings for the 4l60E trans call for the S8012 which is the 99k sensor. GM also backed up that listing as well. Just one of those Friday trucks possibly?
Anyway, I want to thank everyone for their help on this, it was driving me batty!
