I just want to make sure I am calculating the total timing correctly as I am building a timing table for my 383.
I am using Marks $42 1227747 V5.1xdf file and want to make sure I understand the concept correctly.
If I look at the main spark table in Marks XDF and it say 20 degrees at a particular intersection, then even though my warm spark bias still has 9.84 degrees plugged into it, that has already been accounted for. IE the total timing added by these two table is 20 degrees, it is not 20 degrees minus 9.84 degrees. Is that correct?
Then I know I also need to calculate PE spark, Spark slope, and initial timing into this equation.
Is there anything else I really need to worry about related to spark timing that affects warmed up driveability and performance?
Thanks
Roy

I think mark had a thread on here some where , might do a search on spark bias. if its enabaled egr and high way spark will add some when all the parables are met.

If this is the thread you are talking about, this is what confused me to begin with.
http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Injection/showthread.php?2540-Performance-Timing-Table-Chevy-5-7-Liter-TBI-ECM-1227747
I have EGR disabled and I know about the highway spark, but thanks for the reply.
I opened up my tune with an old $42 XDF that I had from tunerpro and I dont see any difference between the two so the whole thread there is an enigma to me.
