I have a 1987 Chevy R10 with 5.7L TBI. After a long winter of working on the suspension the engine is acting up. It will idle fine but in park at about 1400 RPM it starts to sputter and wants to die. I have attached an XDL file and excel file for your review. One item to note is the O2 sensor is unplugged, I cut the wire in an attempt to remove it from the manifold but have not been able to get it out yet.

I just rebuilt the throttle body, sent the injectors out to be cleaned, new iac motor (went through the procedure to set min idle), MAP sensor is new, EGR causes engine to bog when I push on the diaphragm with my fingers, timing is set at 0 degrees with timing advance wire unplugged. I will be replacing the temp sensor this afternoon.

Can you see anything in the attached file that would point to what the issue is, I don’t have enough experience with this type of data to know what’s normal and what isn’t.

Thanks,
John

Sill learning myself, but you are getting that code 42 est error, your spark advance/timing seems to be off from it. And no o2 is keeping it from going into closed loop. Did you reset your ECM after you set the timing? If you did check your wiring to the distributor and maybe check/replace the ESC....? Also I think your TPS voltage should be at .50 and you seem to be at .62
