The 16197427 ECM I swapped in had a stock bin that was originally used the $0E mask. To convert to $0D, do I simply find a $0D bin, XDF, and ADX, write it to a chip, and run it?

$OE and $31 are 4L80E definitions.

$OD and $E6 are 4L60E definitions.

To convert to $OD, you can simply find a $OD .bin file. WARNING!!! the 1995 $OD is for a PWM TCC!!!!!

Could a MEMCAL for a 4L80E cause a 0D bin to not run correctly? Possibly trigger LHM? All manual transmission settings are active in the 0D bin though. I'm trying to run a 0D bin in an Ostrich but it doesn't seem to want to run smoothly. It could possibly be a leaking injector pod also. Reusing o-rings and gaskets when swapping injectors probably wasn't the best practice.

If possible I like to use matching MEMCALS (engine size, transmissions). The "Manual" MEMCAL, is rare or possibly never produced. I've had good results using $OD set to manual trans.

I use new O-Rings when I rebuild a TBI Throttle Body.

I've had an LHM happen with a faulty chip, or chip not correctly installed.

Maybe I will go back to 0E for now. I don't see any real benefit to going 0D other than newer programs generated by GM? No check engine lights when emulating so I'm assuming no LHM?

I reused these when I went from the SB TB to the BB TB with no leaks, but this time going back to the SB TB maybe I wasn't so lucky. I just hate shelling out $30 at the local part store to buy the entire rebuild kit just for the two upper o-rings. I already have the rest from another kit.

Well it turned out to be fuel leaking from the injector pod. I pulled the air cleaner and you could see fuel dripping from the bottom of the pod. A few new O rings and being careful reinstalling the injectors and it's back to normal. Now the fun starts with the new Ostrich 2.0!!!
