Can I change to my gmail account now that I'm registered?

I registered using a yahoo account that I never check. Is it possible to change my account to gmail now? I tried and it said it was banned or something. If I can't do this I'll never get notifications.

I have the forum set so you can change your email to a banned email address once you answered confirmation email and are signed in. Go to Settings. look for My Account on left side, scroll down and click Edit Email and password. It should work! If not let me know and I will find/fix what is wrong.

Sorry for the trouble but we used to get 20 to 150 Gmail spammers a day, I just could not do that much work. Now that Gmail is banned I only get about 20 a month from other email address's...

I went to settings, selected E-mail and password, filled in the stuff including my password and got:

Well I don't have time to look around and find out why it is not doing as it has been told... but I will take out Gmail banning for now, get your address changed and I will add it back in. I know it allows registered users to keep banned email address because I have a test account here with Gmail address.

This camper ( HistoryStamp ) made a boo boo.

I have a gmail account that I use for forwarding email. I thought that I would take the opportunity to change to my gmail account.

A big mistake


Notice the missing fields. I was logged on as HistoryStamp. Mac OS X 10.4.11 with Safari, iCab, & opera.

With the gmail email account, I am not able to post! I get an error when I click on reply with quotes.

historystamp > settings > edit profile
is also blocked with the same message


I said, oh, I'll change back to my yahoo account. Same problem. I'll change to my verizon account. Same problem.

Well right now Verizon has never been blocked and Gmail is not blocked at this moment but that is about to change, so I don't know what your issue is. I know I have "Allow Banned Email accounts to be used after Registration"

Both you guys need to PM me your gmail address and I will see if I can allow certain ones. Leaving Gmail open is not an option till they fix there issue. I have dozens to clean up already!

Robert/historystamp/mysidkick, my multiple personality friend! :laugh: Your historystamp account was "Awaiting Email Confimation". I changed it to register user so you should be able to get in and do whatever. It has a verizon email address so maybe your confirmation email was not accepted?

I was messing around. I'll avoid gmail for this forum.

You should not have too once your registered, answered confirmation email and signed in.

Or just PM me your Gmail if that's what you want and I will put it in your user account for you.

15 Gmail accounts came in while I left that open, checked them all through SpamBot search tool and everyone was a registered spammer! Deleted them all...

Did this my self, but the message that I would assume told me to check the new email address and reconfirm flashed to fast for me to read it. This may not be the case, I may just a little slow, but maybe the message should have a button to confirm understanding, or stay on the screen a little longer.

Looking at the date of the last entry in this thread, I must just be slow:)
