I have bought moates usb serial cable and I am trying to get hooked up to tunerpro rt 5 but it just does not work. I have read all I can before asking for help
so now I am turning to the experts. First the truck. I have a 1989 blazer v1500 350 tbi 700r4 using the 1227747 . when I start tuner rt with the cable I get no info or dash info and I cannot log. My bin is the one i have read from the truck prom using gq4x reader. My .xdf is $42-1227747-v5.9.3 and my .adx is $42-1227747-v5.2 the com port is the same in rt and windows, the 10k resistor is set on the cable, my bitrate is 4800, the program (rt) sees the cable and I have checked the pilot( 2.12.14.0) using real term as per the tread and it works so what am I missing? is my adx or xdf file wrong? also some thing weird happens when the truck idles and i plug the aldl cable it starts to idle very high at around 1300rpm. that does not happen if the cable is plugged before i start the truck. could this be it?

thank

Try without the 10K resistor.

Check your file associations in the TunerPro Preferences, see attached screen shot.

it was already ok but i still can't log...when i do the steps to launch i stil get a high reving engine. when i put the cable in the aldl port the idle changes from around 600rpm to around 1100rpm and even when i unplug the aldl it keeps reving until i turn it off and then its ok so... could there be a problem with the cable or my port? how can i diagnose the aldl port? a bad ground somewhere?
