I have searched for an hour now and not found any posts of anyone who has done something like this.

Talking about the pcm, wiring and programming here. I have the engine, swap mounts and headers. I am also making it all wheel drive with the transfer case. I have a driving 4.3 w motor blazer and want to make a v-8 version Typhoon. I have fixed basically everything on this truck, including overhauling trans and updating it for much extra power, lowered it, brakes, front end, corvette wheels and tires, etc.
Will the 93 computer be enough to run the v-8 ? I realize some wiring will need to be done, Just wondering if it would be less headaches to find a vortec computer and wiring harness and graft that into the 93 blazer.
I have made many different chips for an 89 maf tpi firebird with modified heads and cam, so I have licensed tunerpro and cable/laptop to do the job. Also have ODBLink SX cable for the obd2 plug in if needed.

my other option is go to a carb and change the trans to a cable actuated 700 ( I am a trans mechanic, so that would be no big deal) and just make everything mechanical/ no efi .

waddya all think ?

positive and negative comments accepted, but please don't bash me for wanting to try something different.....

There are several options:
If the original computer is part #16168625, I would convert the 16168625 to MPFI mode. See attached.

I've done the the MPFI conversion on a Vortec 5.7 liter with excellent results.

Basically, MPFI mode operates the 8 Vortec injectors like the TPI system.
