Hello everyone

my dad and I were trying to tune his s10 with 94 blazer 4.3 v6 cpi 427ecm this weekend and the ecm scrapped out. We went to a couple pull a part yards and got 4 more. Now my question is which xdf do I read them in? I have tried all with 256 read only on apu1, that wasn't right so went to 512 read only and only got to read 1 chip in od and oe before I had to stop for a bit. 512 made the maps look readable but a little crazy but both looked very similar. So how would someone tell which is correct? BSWW, BPKX I'll post the other 3 in a bit but didn't see them in list.

Thanks. :-)

Just curious what the maps look like on them

The chip size for these PCMs is 512K. All of the 4.3 CPI bins I have seen have been $E6 or $0D. I'm not sure if they put a 4L80e behind the CPI engine. Here is a link to the BCC lookup spreadsheet.

Hope this helps,
Brian

The chip size for these PCMs is 512K

I've been thinking the chip size for a 16197427 PCM is 64K.

You are right. 27c512 is 64kB 512kbits = 64kB.

If the 1994 blazer has an auto trans, you have to be careful in changing bins because in 1995 the transmissions had a PWM TCC solenoid in the 4L60E. If you open the bin in tunerpro after you get a proper read of the memcal, you can see what mask it is by looking at the Mask ID in TunerPro

You can look at the MASK Byte that is in teh same location between those 3 masks and it will indicate by the $0D, $E6 or $31 at that location.

Yea thanks:-)
I got a 7427 for k3500 truck with 4l80e a while back for my 78 regal with monster 455 olds, he used that 1with his bhrj OD mask. The cpi bins would look close in both OD and OE but had a g20 VAN in with others so was trying all bins in all xdf, just wasn't sure about them being so similar. It's interesting to see spark and ve tables from different engines and car models, some look crazy with spikes and others pretty smooth. Hard to tell if right mask sometimes.

Ok it's BLHH. I will post it by tonight hopefully. The ve table looks kinda crazy but spark table looks nice, I looked at it in all 3 masks but don't remember which looked best. I'll put what mask.

The 32K file size does not look correct to me, should be 64K file size.
