Hello, i have swaped engine in a K2500 -88. The old engine was a 305 tbi and the new is a 350.
I am having trouble finding a bin that works with the th400 (it wont kickdown) does anyone know where to find?

Also, what does "california" mean, i see some bins that have it in their names, i guess it has something to do with emissons right?

I think AKWA is the one I've seen the most with a 350/TH400 setup. You can find it (and others) here:

Yes, California is primarily for emissions. If you still can't get it to kick down, you'll probably want to go through the wiring. Most of the harnesses I've pulled from trucks with a 400 in them have bad wiring going to the kickdown. Personally, I prefer a separate kickdown switch, I've been using one for years on my Blazer.

Thanks! But will it work with a 1227747 ECU?
I know that the wiring is ok because it works with the original ecu (747) but the motor runs bad.

I don't know if that will work with a 7747 or not. I'm fairly sure that there are 3 speed automatic bins in the 7747 thread as well. If those don't work for you, I don't know what the problem could be. The TH400 tunes are pretty old in comparison to something like ASDU, I'd just go with that and rig a separate switch and then start tuning. Maybe someone else here has a better idea, though?

Ok, i will try it and see. And you are right, a switch is a easy workaround.
Really appreciate the help!

Ok, so $4F in a 7747 does not work. The SEL started blinking and when i burned a new chip with ASDU $42 it kept on. Think i burned my ecu, good thing it was free! ;)

I'd be surprised if the $4F killed your ECM. Did you disconnect power to clear codes before going back to ASDU?

I was wrong, i checked the ecu and i had forgotten to solder one of the pins. Solderd it and the problem was gone. :)

About the diffrent masks, if i do a difference search in tunerpro between ASDU and AKWA and change everything that has to do with TCC to what is in AKWA. Would that work or are they completly different from each other?

Why don't you read your original bin and copy the injector data, fuel and timing tables from a 350 bin to it.

Yeah, i didnt think i would need the old bins so i didnt get the memcal header. I live in Sweden and shipping is like 55$.. Not realy worth it.
And i cant find the ADTF bin anywhere. But i found the "BCC lookup for moates.xls" so maby i can figure it out. Guess the M40 trans means turbo 400 right?

Memcal header??? A '7747 just has a eprom you cut the carrier and it comes right out and can be read by a programmer.

Really? I tried it in my Burn 2 from moates and i could not read it, looked at moates.net and it says that you need the header?

The header is only needed to read a MEMCAL. The '7747 just has a chip, so no header is needed(and wouldn't work). ADTF was superseded by AMUC, maybe you can find that one somewhere.

Ok, i thought that memcal ment chip, thanks!
I did try to get the bin when i first got the chip out but i got 4000 bytes of zeros? Tried it twice too?

I used the ASDU.bin and found AHWZ in "BCC lookup for moates.xls" then used the difference tool and copied everything tcc related from AHWZ. Have tested it for a few miles and so far it works.
