I'm a complete Noob and am trying to grasp the whole tunning thing. I've come along way in a few weeks and think I just might be able to grasp the basic concepts. That being said, I'm overwhelmed and am not sure what to do first, timing or fuel?
The data stream file I'm using doesn't have blm history cells for me to fill in while data logging, or at least I can't figure out how to get it to pop up in tuner pro 4 (can't use 5 because my laptop is old) or Aldldroid ....so, with a steady foot and will to win, I'm going all in.

I'm looking for a guru to yell and slap some sense into me and push me off the diving board. I'm not sure what to tackle first?

sorry not a guru so can push you off the diving board, but I can offer this.

I start with fuel then move to timing then fix anything for fuel that the timing through off(there may be a couple rounds of this). then move to tuning AE and PE.

Thanks for the link. I'm into it with the g1 and 29sf512 chip already. I'm using the moates burn2 and tune pro rt 4. I've played around with a couple of adjustments so far, namely to adjust the shift light, but haven't started in on the fueling and timing.....both of which need attention. I've got rich idle, lean running, and part throttle knock that I would like to clear up.
I tried to simply take the factory tables and put them into the $88 and start from scratch, but it didn't work. The car idled fine, but fell flat on its face upon tip-in.
The stock fueling tables look totally different than what I've got now. Its probably easier to just tweak what is in there now.

Ok. After reading and reading and reading, I've got a plan. First I'll attack the main ve table by upping the values universally. Then lower the idle ve table.
My question is; do up the main table or decrease the injector size? And what would decreasing injector size do to the idle table?
