Just fired the tbi 454 for the first. Have run in the cam and one short run down our lane. Seems good, maybe a little lean at low speed steady throttle.
it is a 6395 pcm with BHDF bin
advanced $OE TP5 v 250.xdf
A220 trans 2 $OE TP5 v250.adx

i am using tuner pro rt
i have updated the USB serial driver
i am getting no connection
i realize the engine has to be running to get useful info but does it have to be running to connect. I have only tried it with the key on. I don't want to have a new motor just sitting there idling while I fool with connections. If need be I will have my wife drive the burb while I fool with connection if the motor has to be running. If anyone wants to jump in with step by step that would be good.

You can connect with just key on. I use the throttle to make sure that the connection is live.

Have you set up logging preferences?

The engine does not have to be running to connect, just the key on. What kind of cable do you have? Do you know which com port the cable shows up as? Do you have the com port for the cable set up in Tunerpro? I know I am asking questions instead of giving answers but it helps to know what hardware you have.

Thanks for the replies. Just before I quit for the night I got a connect. It was in the serial port settings. Hope to get some useful info tomorrow.

Finally got it on the road and all working. Now I can data log, record and play back. The fuel pressure bump for initial start worked out pretty good. It is a little rich at idle area and little lean at mid throttle so now the tuning starts. If anyone could point me to additional $OE adx's that would be great.
