Hello all im new to these forums and have started a conversion project. Well more of a transplant then a conversion. Donor was a 1990 chevy suburban 2500 4X4, removed the motor harness and computer and installed them into my 78 chevy K10 short-box. added a bung for the Ox sensor and put in a fuel pump and sending unit "new" for a 87 chevy P/U as that was the last year for that body style and the first year for the TBI in the P/U's. We ran fuel lines from just the one tank with hopes in the future of upgrading both tanks. This project started prematurely when the old moter gave up on a road trip and moved the plans up a bit. Was able to get the truck back to boise, however its just in limp home mode. I still need to get the data port connected so as to figure out what i missed or did not do.

some data the moter is a 350ci TBI stock
ECU is 1228747 w/ AKWA origanal harness from donor was used

some future plans are to finish the fuel system with a complete conversion to a 87 chev P/U Duel tank config
remove the th350 and install a NV4500 " that should be fun"

this thread started on the introductions section of the board and im moving it to here, when i get back to Boise I'll update and post some pic's " once i figure out how to do that"

thanks

Well I finally made it home and got the time to work on the truck. Turns out that the O2 sender was bad fixed with a quick trip to the parts store. Add in a quick tune from skinny peddle and the truck runs like a top now. Thank you for all you hard work and a fine ecu mod and tune
