simultaneous emulating and datalogging with APU1 and tuner pro

I standalone datalog without problems with the outboard switch in the passthrough mode and the dash comes up when I go to "acquisition" then to "start/stop data scan" and I can watch the dash respond with no problems.

I have just tried to emulate and I have gotten to the point where I think I am emulating with the bin loaded, verified and the emulation indicators says I am emulating

Now I wish to see the realtime datscan while in the emulation mode to verify closed loop operation and observe realtime changes. I keep the outboard switch in the "inboard" towards the USB port position

I cannot get the dash to function while emulating and am nervous to make changes without realtime dash feedback to observe. In particular I wish to change timing while observing KPA

How do I data log and emulate simultaneously???

I figured it out....

go to "tool"... click on "preferences"... click on "data acq./emulation" tab... select "interface type" button.... select autoprom/MAFTPro. Reboot and it now works

Its a good thing this autoprom costs big bucks or I would have smashed it to pieces three or four times already!!! nice tool, lousy instructions...

There's no need to reboot when you switch between acquisition plug in or the APU1/MAFTPro selections.
