Required first post :P Broke the chassis on my Camaro drag car several years ago, pulled the drivetrain, scrapped the chassis, sold off everything except the motor....About 6 months ago, I started having issues with the SBC that I have in a 1962 International Harvester Scout 80, and long story short, realized one day that the LT1 will bolt right in to replace the Gen 1 SBC currently in it :D I'm retaining the factory injection on it, and using the OEM motor harness, but integrating it with the Painless chassis harness I have installed in the Scout as well. Obviously I'll need to reprogram the ECU to accommodate this, as I'm not using the VATS and BCM and have run into a snag, which I will be posting in the proper area for that.

Since people usually want pictures of projects, this is the Scout that I'm working on, and this picture was actually taken about an hour before I started having motor issues in it, and basically was the last time I drove it, lol.

:welcome:

There are some members here that have lots of experience with the LT1, I'm sure they will help and share information.
