Hi everyone. I'm pretty new to EFI. I have an 87 4x4 Silverado lifted with 35's. I have a stock motor with a spun rod bearing and looking to upgrade and keep the TBI. I was talking to Brian Harris until I stumbled upon some posts from this site that made me rethink everything. So here I am, thanks in advance for any help.

Most of the members here at gearhead-efi.com use TunerPro RT when working with the TBI system. I recommend coming up to speed with TunerPro RT to get the best performance from TBI.

Ok, I have winaldl right now but I will look at Tunerpro. Until then I need to build or buy a new motor. Is the L31 HD Vortec crate motor from Jegs a good fit for my truck?

Depending on your engine computer tuning skills and experience, most any mild or moderate performance engine (up to about 1 HP per cubic inch) can be installed.
