Gents, I need some urgent help.

Out of the blue, I cannot write, read or erase correctly any of the chips I put in my APU1 using Tuner Pro RT. I have tried 4 different 27SF512 (all of which worked previously), as well as some original GM 2732 chips (that I have read previously).

The data coming off the chip is the same whether or not I just erased it or burned it. It’s just random numbers and many 100.0s in all the tables. Blank check says chip is not blank, data read off the 27SF512 burns are garbage, data read off the stock 2732 chips are garbage, buffer verify fails, etc...

I’m losing my mind because I’m trying to get a car tuned for a race this weekend. For reference, I’m putting a 4k size tune with a $4E Mask on a 1992 S10 2.8 V6. It has been extensively tuned earlier this year with no problems. The car is now dead in the water...

Nothing has changed, my laptop is the same, my APU1 was not damaged and is clean. I reinstalled drivers and Tuner Pro RT with the latest versions on two separate computers, I tried new USB cables, and both computer connect to the APU1 just fine. Only thing that changed was time: It’s been 6 months since I last programmed anything, while the APU1 sat in a box.

Any ideas? Did my APU1 Somehow blow up?

Thanks for the help,
Eric

Try Flash 'n' Burn. Every so often I seem to have difficulty for some random reason using my Burn 2 or APU1 for programming/reading through Tuner Pro. Flash 'N' Burn seems to work regardless. I have only used it with my Burn 2, but it is supposed to also work with the APU1 for the programming side.

Try an older version of the drivers, there seems to be an issue with the FTDI drivers after a certain version.

There is a topic or two about this on this site.
