Hi from Finland. I´m new to the sight and i got a problem trying to get the check engine light working in my car. It`s a 1970 Impala convertible that i put a 350 tbi in from a silverdo 1989 and i am not geting the check engine light working. The engine runns good as it is but i`m going for 200mile cruise with the family and if there comes a problem it would be nice to found out what it is. I conected the 1.2W lightbulb to A5 on the ECU/PCM and put A9 to negative pole. I think that would be right or?

The ECM provides the ground to the check engine light through A5. The light will need +12v on the other side, preferably ignition switched.

Now theres only to fix the trouble codes: 12 is normal , 13 oxygen sensor circuit open?, 24 VSS (vehicle speed sensor) circuit low anyway to disconect it or just let it be? 44 lean exhaust. Any one know how to fix these?

Fix 13 before you worry about 44, it may go away. It sounds like your O2 sensor doesn't have a complete circuit. Make sure you don't have an open circuit between D7 and your O2 sensor connector, then make sure your exhaust system is grounded. If those are ok, you might have a bad O2 sensor. Are you running a VSS? If so, how do you have it connected? If you're not running a VSS, you can ground B10 to make the ECM think you're in neutral. You can also burn a chip to get rid of the VSS code.

Thanks again. No I don`t have a vss I have the original th400 from -70. and the O2 sensor is new but I´m not shure about the ground of the exhaust so I will ground it again so Im shure
