I have a USB/Serial converter on order from China and who knows when it will arrive. I had totally forgotten until a few minutes ago that I already have an ODB-II cable I bought from ScanTool.net. It's an Elmscan something. I can look it up when I get home.

I wonder if this can be used to read from a 1227747 ECU? I know I will need to jumper it, but could this work?

nope... obd-ii is some j8150 stuff and it's done at the interface level afaik, no way to make that work
