Hello everyone. I have been fighting for over two weeks to make my truck run and I am failing. I originally read the bin the truck last ran good with into tunerpro. Well, stupid me read the eprom wrong the first time, then read it properly but erased the chip in the eprom. I didn't think there would be an issue since I had the bin saved on my computer. So I tried to run the bin from the APU1, and the truck barely ran. So I checked everything and burned the bin onto a chip. Same thing, the truck barely runs. It sounds like the timing is way retarded and it pumps out black smoke like a diesel truck. I am using the correct xdf (Advanced $0D TP5 v251) and adx (A218 trans1 $0D tp5) files for my particular truck, which is a 1994 K1500 with a 16196395 ecu and BJLH original bin. I tried to go through and compare the two bins and see where I might be going wrong but am not seeing anything obvious, and I am so confused with all of this. I have no idea which way to turn. If anyone could please help me and point me in the right direction of what I am doing wrong it would be greatly appreciated. I will attempt to attach the current bin I am trying to use to make this thing run. Thank you all so much. Eric

got a log? does it hit closed loop?

could be something else messed up other than the tune too, an injector stuck open, cylinder not sparkin' (blowing raw fuel into exhaust) something like that...

should check the basics, dont blame the tune right away if it's running that rough..

You're going to have to start with another bin, you are in Limp Home Mode.

$0D bins are 64 kb, you have posted a 32 kb bin.

Download one of the $0D bins from the site that closely matches your combination and go from there.

I was looking through it and everything looked fine, what I looked at anyway... but yeah it's no good to use anymore if half of it is gone? You may be able to patch it together in hex... but after all this I'd be starting with a fresh bin.

The O2 sensors had some changes that I don't think would work well? The the rich, lean and mean.

I did notice the size was small earlier but wasn't sure if there was a reason or not. Thank you everyone for all of your help! I will have to mess around with a stock bin and try to make it work. I have vortec heads, ZZ4 camshaft, 9.5:1 compression, and the red 454 tbi injectors, so I know I will have to change flow rates. I will try playing around tonight. If I can get the thing to at least start, I will try to get a data log. Again, thank you so much for the replies!
