Wondering if folks see a difference using the hot fuel handling module. All I found with the forum search was that it runs the fuel pump for a period of time after shut down to help with hot starts on the hd trucks.
Is it helpful?

No... all it was for was to run fuel pump 20 seconds after shutdown to cool the TBI unit.

The Mark 5 Big Block 7.4L TBI increased the fuel pressure in the later years(93 94 95) to help with this problem.

Only 94-95 TBI Big blocks ran the elevated fuel pressure , '93 was the lower pressure .

That's some interesting reading on the other ways GM addressed underhood temps though.

Don't know how my hot starts will be yet, I'm installing everything now. I've got a 93 454 TBI and have repinned the harness to the 7747 ECU since I don't need the trans control.
It's easy for me to put in the hot fuel module now, so I'm going to run it since I have it. The Caddy 472/500 motors are pretty warm runners anyway so it can't hurt.
The Q-jet would be pretty unhappy on hot starts, particularly at altitude. No surprise there...
