I'm looking into some CALPAK stuff for the C3 ECMs, more specifically the 1227747.

I have a couple CALPAKs, I have been able to cross reference the one through Ludis' site to be for a 2.8L in an '8063 ECM (IIRC), but I have one more that I haven't been able to find what it is from.

The number on it is: 16046459.

In my research it seems that there is no specific cylinder select pin for this ECM ('7747), though without the CALPAK the ECM is said to change injector firing mode from every other DRP to every DRP. The difference between V6 and V8 CALPAKs seems to be more to do with actual LHM fueling than anything else, which is a bit different than the P4 ECMs.

So my main concern is what is this CALPAK from? I have an application that I would LIKE to find a V8 CALPAK to use in, but if it's not really needed, then great.

Ninth entry up from the bottom.

gmpartswiki is an awesome site to save.
No factual info on the omission of calpak. Remembered experience at dealer level many years ago suggests that forgetting calpak in newly replaced V8 ecm leads to driveability problems and check engine light. Then again, that was 20 yrs or more in the past. Hmmm but there was a TSB about ecm's either being installed without a calpak or accidentally being shipped with a calpak left over from factory service procedure. Might want to look for that.
