my right Alt key is about to do the same.... which is odd, considering i've never used it to my knowledge.

haha I expected a failed drifting video there

my backspace key breaks off all the time.. because when I make a mistake I'm very angry about it. I'm on my 5th laptop keyboard.

Are you sure you didn't just lose half your control? (right CTRL key) ;)

I don't know how you guys can wear out of break keyboards. The only reason I ever change mine is because I want to. I still have perfectly working keyboards from like a decade ago.

Here I thought I was the only one who kept stuff around till it either quit working or became obselete lol

1project2many, i dig that keyboard. I always liked the good ol' mechanical typewriter feel myself.

Lol, I like to use an appropriate amount of force when doing things. I've also never broken ANY of my game console controllers, while many friends have replaced several on one system, and frequently too... I don't get it.

About the only thing I have "worn out" keyboard related was the left click button on my old Lenovo laptop (still worked, just not reliably), luckily this one had both a touch pad and erasure head mouse, so I had a second left click button to use...

I've considered getting a mechanical keyboard, but I like my Logitech G510 too much, to replace it with anything else.

On the mouse pad of my HP laptop I've worn through the chrome plate and there's a groove in the black plastic underneath. Still working. There's also noticeable wear on the Shift, A and space keys. It's my desktop now with wireless keyboard, mouse and 23 inch monitor. Top of the line HP laptop back in 2008 and the only computer I've ever bought new at $1200 back then...

I was into computers back when MSDOS was trying to gain hold. Even back then I could see it wasn't all that much. I left technology alone for a few years then decided to spend some cash around '93. I bought a 486DX2 100 Ghz for $1500 then invested another $500 in a scanner and color printer. I could pick the colored threads out of a dollar bill with that setup but it took a day to get the data transferred from the scanner to the pc and the files took up a huge amount of space. I had the idea that I was going to make a searchable digital library out of 10 years of car books when I started. When I realized I'd have to spend several thousand for reliable OCR software and that I'd probably need to invest in up to ten gigabytes of storage I dumped that idea.

Built like a tank and replaceable key caps. Maybe the only computer related component design to not be "improved".

I find F1 "falls" off keyboards. It sucks to try and hit F2 for editing and have the help opening.

Too many keys. This is all you'll ever need.
