LOL, the Vette driver needs to learn how to launch. Vette's still have the typical GM traction control which spins hard then cuts power right off and it sounds like he had the TC on because the power cut right out for a split second once he finally got on the gas.

On the other side the Tesla driver cut a good light. He was moving and the pre-stage lights went off while the 3rd yellow was still showing.

The Tesla is what you get when you spend years developing electric performance. But then electric makes full torque right from zero speed so it better launch hard and get a good 60' time.

yeah regardless a low 12 sec electric car is crazy

I wouldn't say crazy. These days every >$100k sports sedan on the market is expected to run a 12 second 1/4 mile off the showroom floor no matter what powers it.

If anything the fact GM couldn't get 11's out of the C7 is a bit of a disappointment. But then it is only a $55k car.

Tesla has put years of R&D into high performance electric vehicle drive trains. It their flagship car was a dog then they've wasted that R&D money. The right electric parts will easily out power a gas engine and Tesla has a lot of good stuff in that car.
