still sourcing parts for the swap, but i need some clarification on the dizzy setup.
duraspark large cap, is this configurable for ecu advance, or stick to basic vaccuum?

The GM HEI distributor for TBI does not use vacuum advance. The TBI computer PROM chip is where the spark advance is programmed.

Maybe this link will have useful information to convert your Jeep Duraspark distributor to work with the GM TBI computer. Basically, convert your Duraspark distributor to a GM 8 pin Ignition Module and GM External TBI Ignition Coil.

Thanks!
Looks like I'll be using a home-burnt ECU instead of the Howell AMC360/auto PROM I have now.
Seems really backward not letting the ECU run timing? Did Howell just remove the advance code from the GM code and go with basic springs and vaccuum?

Thanks for the link also, looks pretty easy to run the HEI-8 module off the stock AMC dizzy. (need to pin it still)

Years ago, TBI without ECU timing control was common. With a few low cost modifications, the Jeep distributor can be used to allow the ECU timing control.
