Ok im trying to get my WOT shifts firm and read hptuners website till my eyes bled. Anyone here mess with the 6l80e using Tunercats or Efilive I raised my wot rpmthats fine and I lowered the 1-2 2-3 3-4 shift times down. A lot of different tables compares to a 4l60 file which I have no issues getting to shift hard at WOT.

Did you try slightly raising the pressures? Usually between those 2 it firms everything up rather nicely.

Forgot to add .... you can post the calibration as a *.tun, *.cal, or *.bin ... can work with any of those formats.

Did you ever get the G8 shifting to your satisfaction ?

This is the file i messed with i went on the G8 forums and have a tcm file it will bark 2nd gear but im not to happy with the shifting its erractic never the same as far as part throttle driving and when i stomp it has a delay on downshift. Seems my file im posting here has no delay on a downshift but cant get any firmness out of it.

I had John even add some tq managment tables to the vdf but havent messed with them yet i know hp tuners has them

Can you also post your original (non-modified) TCM cal, and the one from the G8 Forum that was only a partial success ?

Post your ECM tune also if you want ... I have added the Calculated Torque Output tables (EFILive dubbed it the "Torque Model") to my TC software, for some E38 calibrations that I use often ... would give me an excuse to add these tables to the G8 E38 ... then we could also use this as a tool for fine tuning the adjusted shift firmness.

Does the "slows down" phenomena feel like the engine laying down, or the transmission shifting lazy ?

its a combination of both more throttle to go and trans shifts a lot softer I know fluid is not warmed but it is a def big difference

Roger ... lets try one thing at a time. TCM tuning initially, followed by ECM Calculated Torque Output tuning.

I have to add some parameters to the TC software for your cals ... between that and the myriad of tables in the T43 TCM ... may be a week before I have something for you to try ... after that point, the back and forth changes should be quickly done.

no prob its my DD I gotta weld a wb bung in still and delete my mid muffler and put in x pipe before heading back to dyno I will say its def a lot faster than stock just needs some fine tuning I like an A4 a lot better right now until I understand the the T43 deal its a temperamental thing

OK ... try the attached T43 cal. It is by no means to be considered a finished product - you can spend days tuning these controllers.

I primarily focused on the sequential upshifts - everyone likes to accelerate !

Please be cautious ... if anything seems to be wrong, stop.

It will take a few drive cycles for the adapts to learn the updated programming.
