View Full Version : 7060 TCC Hysteresis?

Above roughly 65mph on the ECMs speedo, the TCC will not stay locked. The ECM is commanding on/off/on/off of the torque converter clutch. Can someone take a look at this tune and find what I'm missing? It all seems to look fine to me.

What is the TPS, VSS, MAP reading while the ecm is cycling the tcc? Are the tps, vss, and map signals constant or is one of them fluctuating?

Look in the scalars menu for "TCC disable TPS threshold high mph" there is also the same for low mph. the percent is only like 1.95 in the bin which may be causing the issue. Not going to guarantee but worth a shot to maybe raise that level to 5% or more and see if it makes a difference.

May try giving them a little room?

The bin looked good in Trans and TCC parameters. But sometimes trans speeds etc... are not accurate. You had some very close So One thing I saw was 3>4 shift in TPS 50-60% area shifts at 62 to 66 MPH then TCC locks at 62-66 MPH.

and spaced them out as suggested. It's still doing it. This time I caught it on the data log. Keep in mind the ECM reads speed like 4.56s (65mph is actually 78)... oddly enough once I was past the area of Hysteresis, it locked and stayed locked, all the way up past 90ish. Is there something in the XDF that's missing possibly?

I tried BAMT and it acted weird. If we can't figure this one out then I may try it again...

I noticed something in your AWAW TCC high to low something was set to 116 where stock was 76? Changes something about TPS position to lock? Wish I had more time right now... HTH!

There's a good dissasembly for this and the XDF could use the work. It's an excellent PCM and came in cool trucks! Unfortunatley not many and even fewer left now a days so it's hard to put the time into it.

I changed that back to stock in the latest tune. Didn't seem to have an effect.

Where can I learn how to work with the disassembly and mod the XDF? Thread? Site? 3GO? Thanks.

Since you have an XDF and a dissasembly the best thing to do is open an XDF parameter, look at the address in hex, find it in dissasembly. This will familiarize yourself with how it works. Then start reading the dissasembly for items you want or need and make a new paremeter.

I literally have hundreds of hours into this and consider my self a complete novice. But every time I've had a specific question someone comes along with help and I learn more!

I opened up the HAC last night and my mind blew all over my leather couch, so I'm just now getting it together enough to post.

There are a couple TCC parameters not in the XDF so I'm going to look into it when I get some more time. Thank you sir. IF/When I make changes to the XDF I'll post it up in a new thread.
