I'm going to be using an 0411 PCM in my upcoming LS4 swap. (I was considering going OBD1 but thought better of it.) I was wondering if someone knew what signal from the cam sensor the PCM is looking for? Is it looking for a rising edge, falling edge or just an edge? The reason I'm asking is the stock LS4 cam sensor is positioned on the opposite side of the timing cover (180 degrees) from the rear wheel drive LS motors with the sensor in the timing cover. I have a 2006 motor which has the 24 tooth crank reluctor and the single tooth cam sprocket. As far as I can tell the original PCM was an E40. I compared the LS4 cam sensor pinouts to a rear wheel drive application of the E40 and they were the same. I will change the timing cover to a rear wheel drive version if needed but why do it if I don't have to? Any thoughts you can provide would be appreciated.
