I will be installing a Gm tbi on my 305. I have been looking for a FI fuel tank that will fit my application. I think a 91 Ford van tank will fit. My question is will the Ford fuel pump work with my Chevy tbi? Thanks

Usually yes even if it were a MPFI the regulater in the TBI will handle the exess pressure. What system is on the Ford?

Thanks for the reply. I am not sure about the Ford. I would be buying a new tank, under $100.00 I may have a choice of pumps I am not sure yet.

Be aware that Ford went to a system that controlled the fuel pump pressure and flow with pulses of electricity or variable volts around 1998. The pumps before that should be fairly of a regular sort.

Yes - via several methods. Some bastard step-children in there

I have a Jeep MPFI system here for my 258 motor. It is returnless. How hard/expensive is it to set one up? I have never even worked on one...

On the jeeps the regulator/pump is in the fuel pump unit in the gas tank.
I dimly remember there being one jeep application where the fuel filter/regulator were external to the tank. I think it was in a Grand Cherokee. I have this info somewhere just need to find it.
